1993 — The Corner Shop
This is where it all began: Hongxing Adhesive Tape, a tiny retail and wholesale shop tucked on a busy local street. Floor-to-ceiling tape rolls in blue, white, and green. Hand-painted signage. A single fluorescent light humming overhead.
No investors. No brand strategy. Just a family that decided to master one thing — adhesive tape — and do it better than anyone else.
1999 — The First Factory Floor
Six years later, the shop couldn’t keep up. The company moved into its first industrial facility — corrugated steel walls, a heavy metal gate, safety signs on every pillar.
This was the moment we stopped being traders and became manufacturers. Raw materials stacked by the entrance. Machinery humming in the back. The question was no longer “what do customers want to buy?” — it was “what can we build?”
2003 — Putting Our Name on It
A decade in, the workshop had grown into a real company. A proper office. A customer service counter. The red bowtie logo. Framed certificates on the wall — the first investments in quality and compliance that would later become our CE, REACH, RoHS, and ISO 13485 credentials.
This wasn’t just about looking professional. It was about making a promise: every roll of tape that leaves our facility carries our name.
2022 — HLK Tape Today
Nearly 30 years after that corner shop opened, this is home. A six-story, 3,500 m2 integrated facility in Fujian, China — housing automated production lines, an in-house R&D lab, and a QC center that tests to international standards.
Today, HLK Tape (Quanzhou Honglinkai New Material Co., Ltd.) ships 1,500+ OEM orders every six months to brands in over 30 countries. Mouth tape. Nasal strips. Sports tape. Finger tape. All fully customizable. All backed by the same obsession with adhesive quality that started in a cramped shopfront in 1993.
